Fall in the New York area is such a happy time of year - the weather is cool and the air is fresh. Maples glow with leaves of florescent yellow and it's nearly impossible to pull myself away.
I don't have much to say about autumn aside from that it's a soul-quenching and inspiring time of year here. I would spend all of my time in the nearby reservoir, admiring the amber sunlight on the gold leaves if I could. If you've lived through an east coast autumn, you can't avoid reverence for Mother Earth.
Leaves create a starry veil over the sky and when the finally fall, they fly up in the wind like a murmuration of birds. I can't stop wandering outside during work or staring out of the window.
