Round Lake, New York is a Victorian settlement just south of Saratoga Springs.  From the outside, it is nearly unaltered.  Pretty much every house is historically preserved and probably qualifies as a historic landmark.

More of France: The South

The south of France was as magical as an enchanted forest.  The topography here was an impressive piece of architecture in itself alone.  Cue the Carla Bruni.  During our trip we saw Nice - where we did a day trip to Èze, Sainte-Maxime, Avignon, and Paris.

Architecture of France: The North

One of the most inspiring aspects of France is the architecture.  French culture, linked to the chic French cafés and the innate romance of the language, is alluring enough on its own - add the architecture and I fall even more in love.

The Adirondack Region

I recently visited cousins in Saratoga Springs, NY and was flooded with renewed love of adirondack region. The fresh scent of pines welcomed me back.  I couldn't get over the deep shade and bright sunlight cast by the trees' tall canopy.

Shopping with a Conscience

Lord help me, I need to improve at this.  It is a challenge finding ethical clothing brands, although fortunately, more and more keep appearing.

On Moving

I'm 23 years old and have moved seven times, four of which were all within one town in northern New Jersey and one of which was a move between vacation homes in Rhode Island.  When I was in fifth grade, my best friend moved from NJ to London.
