Two weekends ago, I went to Washington, D.C. for a reunion with my best friends. Two of us went on a hike along the cliffs of the Potomac in Great Falls, MD.
It was rocky and challenging, especially in the boots I wore (thank God they were at least rubber soled). The air along the trail was much cleaner than it is in the tristate area and I felt refreshed post-hike, just in time to wait in a 45 minute line to eat at a new restaurant. Seeing my friends was incredibly comforting and has carried me through this chaotic yet exciting month.
