New Year's Eve in Canada
Friday, January 15, 2016
I only have a few pictures from New Year's Eve itself. In my opinion, the holiday is a little overrated. They sang Uptown Funk in French on a little stage in the freezing cold. It was windy, gorgeous, and crazy (crowded).
We watched the fireworks go off at midnight over the St. Lawrence River in Vieux Port (Montreal) and arrived just in time for them...and for the rendition of Uptown Funk... Bonne Année
We created our own little cocktail hour at our rented apartment before heading to dinner. It was really nice to have that period to relax, catch up, and get ready together.
I loved the joyous spirit there despite the chilly temperature!
The first New York Times issue of the year was an omen of good things to come!
